As part of the Dark Skies Festival join us to explore the wonders of the night sky, including star clusters, nebulae and galaxies, under the expert guidance of members of the York Astronomical Society.
If the skies are not visible because of bad weather, we'll head into the Visitor Centre for an entertaining illustrated talk about what is up there above the clouds!

Lots of nature-based activities for intrepid explorers aged 6-11 including a minibeast hunt, decomposition activities, art, outdoor music and crafts. No adults allowed! Please bring a packed lunch, wellies and appropriate clothing.

Follow the fun Easter trail and each clue will lead you closer to your sticker. Alternatively ask for a collecting strip and see what you can find on your own adventure. The Easter bunny & his friends have lost their tails! Can you find them? Find all the tails hidden amongst the trees & plants, complete the puzzle, then claim your sticker prize!

A Yorkshire Arboretum fundraising institution run entirely by our wonderful volunteers. Make the most of the festive season and enjoy a walk in the fresh air and glorious surroundings of the arboretum.
